EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT OF REFRIGERATION DIVISION

ST. LOUIS, November 12, 2007 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced the appointment of Ram Krishnan to the position of President, Emerson Climate Technologies, Refrigeration. Krishnan comes from Emerson Process Management, where he most recently served as president of the company’s Liquid Analytical Division. He will assume his new role effective on November 12.

Krishnan joined Emerson Process Management in 1994. He holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an MS in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
