EMERSON LAUNCHES NEW COPELAND SCROLL® COMPRESSORS FOR COMMERCIAL AIR CONDITIONING

Industry-leading Copeland Scroll® Available In New 13 and 15 Horsepower Models

ST. LOUIS, November 8, 2007 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) today announced the release of their award-winning and innovative Copeland Scroll® compressors in new 13 and 15 horsepower models for commercial air conditioning applications.

The new 13 and 15 horsepower models are available for use with a variety of refrigerants including R-410A. These new models complement and broaden Emerson Climate Technologies’ award-winning and industry-leading offering of R-410A Copeland Scroll compressors for commercial air conditioning applications. This comprehensive lineup is assisting commercial HVAC contractors and OEMs prepare for the complete phase-out of new R-22 equipment in 2010. These new high-efficiency models represent an extension of the seven to 12 horsepower Copeland Scroll compressor offering, a platform with proven performance and reliability based upon an installed base of over one million pieces and 10 years of production experience. Additional features of the new 13 and 15 horsepower compressors include lower height, reduced weight and a smaller mounting footprint.
