ST. LOUIS,
September 28, 2007 – Today, Emerson Climate Technologies, a business
of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), introduced ProAct® Enhanced Facility Services
(EFS) as the latest addition to its innovative ProAct suite of services.
A service provided by Retail Solutions, ProAct EFS takes the burden off
retailers’ maintenance organizations by providing real-time resolution
of HVAC and lighting requests from stores across an enterprise.
Today's service technicians and call center
dispatchers are often overloaded by the number of calls for simple
support actions such as the perception that a store is too hot or that
store lighting schedules need to be changed. By off-loading these
requests to Emerson, facility managers are able to place more focus on
the critical issues affecting their business.
Immediate response to requests is available
24x7x365, since store managers may e-mail or call the ProAct Service
Center directly with concerns. An optional, private 1-800 number,
customized answering options, and private labeling, ensure continuity of
retail processes and prompt and professional handling of problems. Once
a request is received, the ProAct Service Center simply connects to the
facility through the existing facility management system to confirm
proper operation of mechanical systems or to make system adjustments
that are negotiated with the retailer prior to service commencement.
As part of the ProAct suite of facility
services, EFS seamlessly integrates with other ProAct services. This
helps to streamline the entire facility management process, enabling
end-users to operate more efficiently, maintain maintenance
accountability and ensure that facilities are operating properly. As
with all services, data is available in a variety of formats on a
custom, secure website for data mining or exporting.
“ProAct EFS is Emerson’s latest advancement
dedicated to helping retailers get the most out of their service
organizations,” said Bill Coulombe, president of Emerson’s Retail
Solutions group. “As part of the Intelligent Store™ architecture, our
customers will not only enjoy lower operational costs; they will
ultimately get the information they need to make better decisions about
their facilities.”
ProAct facility services are a key component
of Emerson’s Intelligent Store architecture. The Intelligent Store
architecture establishes an integrated suite of products and services
that provides retail operators with a new level of operational
sophistication. When combined, these innovative Emerson Climate
Technologies products and services are proven to enable maintenance,
energy and other operational savings. Also included in the Intelligent
Store architecture are the Control Link™ device controllers, E2 Facility
Management System, Electronic Stepper Regulator (ESR) valves,
Intelligent Store Discus® compressors, select Lennox® rooftop units, and
