EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES NAMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER OF DESIGN SERVICES NETWORK

ST. LOUIS, March 7, 2007 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR), today announced that Rafael Castillo has been promoted to general manager of Design Services Network. In this new position, Castillo will be responsible for overseeing ongoing business development, marketing, sales, engineering and operation for the company.

Based in Sidney, Ohio, Design Services Network is a collaborative network of consulting engineers and testing facilities from around the country, serving commercial, industrial and scientific refrigeration and air conditioning system manufacturers worldwide.

Since joining Emerson in 1992, Castillo and has held increasingly responsible positions in procurement, engineering, operations and product management. Since 1999, he has played an instrumental role in the commercial AC market, managing several strategic compressor platforms for Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc. Castillo has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University and holds an MBA from the University of Texas.

Design Services Network combines testing, design and system-outsourcing capabilities, so that the group can seamlessly integrate with customer processes to manage an entire project from start to finish. The end goal is improving customer profitability by accelerating the rate of product development, making Design Services Network a one-stop resource for OEMs.
