EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES™ ANNOUNCES WINNER OF THE WHITE-RODGERS^® BLUE MUSTANG^® GIVEAWAY

ST. LOUIS, March 24, 2006 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced the winner of the White-Rodgers^® 90 Series™ Blue™ Mustang^® Giveaway. Justin Nelson of Richmond, Virginia was the lucky winner of the brand new blue 2006 Ford^® Mustang GT. The giveaway capped off a campaign by White-Rodgers’ to promote its 90 Series Blue touchscreen thermostat with contractors.

The Mustang GT was presented at a reception hosted by Emerson Climate Technologies for its customers held prior to the AHR (Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration) Expo. Three finalists, including Nelson; Kevin Culver of Omaha, Nebraska; and Adam Menchhofer of Covington, Kentucky – each of whom had been randomly selected by Mark Bulanda, president of White-Rodgers, on December 15, 2005 – had to complete a series of random drawings before determining that Nelson had the winning key that started the car. They were assisted in their efforts by event emcees and former Chicago Bears players Steve McMichael and Dan Hampton. In appreciation for their participation, both Culver and Menchhofer received $2,500 Visa Gift Cards.
