EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES™ TO BUILD MORE EXTENSIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH INDUSTRIAL CONTRACTORS
Initiative follows introduction of new product brochure and tools designed to help contractors meet the growing needs of their customers
ST. LOUIS, January 16, 2006 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), recently launched an initiative to develop and strengthen relationships with industrial contractors who install, repair and service refrigeration equipment for chillers, warehouse refrigeration equipment and commercial rooftop air conditioning applications. The company is continuing its strategy of relationship-building with contractors, following increased communications with both foodservice and supermarket contractors in the fall and winter of 2005.
The objective of Emerson’s relationship-building is to inform contractors of the products, tools, knowledge and support they need to expand their business, stay at the forefront of emerging trends and fulfill the energy-efficiency needs of their customers. The company also intends to work directly with the contractors to obtain their reactions to products and services currently in development, enhance their awareness and knowledge of new and emerging technologies, and gather their feedback on industry issues and concerns.
As part of its efforts to strengthen relationships with industrial contractors, Emerson Climate Technologies recently introduced a product brochure specifically focused on efficient solutions for commercial and industrial applications. The brochure is the third in a series of new product brochures designed to help contractors gain a more complete view of the systems they are servicing, as well as the Emerson Climate Technologies™ products and technologies available for the industry. Brochures were previously released for refrigeration contractors in the foodservice and supermarket industries.
“It is important for Emerson Climate Technologies to provide the industry and our customers with the most up-to-date information on new technologies, products and services available in their industrial and commercial applications,” said Matt Brown, contractor support manager for Emerson Climate Technologies. “Contractors play an integral role in the industry, so it is vital that we provide support for these products in the marketplace, creating opportunities for contractors to expand their understanding of the Emerson® products.”
In addition to reaching out to contractors, Emerson Climate Technologies is working extensively with wholesalers to provide the tools needed for working successfully with industrial and commercial contractors. Online eBusiness tools such as Online Product Information (OPI), product selection and competitive cross-reference information cover a full range of products available to contractors. These tools create opportunities for wholesaler personnel to inform themselves of the products and services available from Emerson Climate Technologies.
