EMERSON CLIMATE TECHNOLOGIES™ RECOGNIZES WHOLESALERS FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN 2005

ST. LOUIS, November 10, 2005 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), recently awarded its top-performing authorized Copeland wholesalers for outstanding sales performance in 2005. The awards were presented during the company’s annual National Wholesaler Conference, held in Palm Springs, California, October 10–13, 2005. Tom Bettcher, Emerson Climate Technologies business group leader, and Ed Purvis, vice president of Emerson Climate Technologies refrigeration, presented the awards to this year’s winners, who were eligible for two different sales-award categories: Peak Performance and SystemPro™.

To qualify for the Peak Performance Award, wholesalers must meet the following three criteria: (1) double-digit sales growth in overall purchases; (2) double-digit sales growth within focused product categories; and (3) a successfully implemented company-wide marketing plan for the year.

The SystemPro Award is given to the wholesalers who sell the highest volume of Copeland® hermetic refrigeration condensing units per branch. This year’s winners were:

• United Refrigeration Inc.
