Four new Colombian stores will now use Copeland®, Emerson Climate Technologies’ Flow Controls and Computer Process Controls™ products

ST. LOUIS, September 19, 2005 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), today announced that international supermarket chain Carrefour has installed Emerson Climate Technologies products in 100 percent of its four new store locations in Latin America. Each of the four new stores, located in Colombia, will install products in its new refrigeration equipment from a range of Emerson® divisions, including Copeland, Flow Controls and Computer Process Controls (CPC).

Emerson Climate Technologies is working with two major Latin American original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Arneg Andina and Eletrofrio, to install Emerson products in refrigeration equipment. The specifications include Copeland® Discus® compressors; filter driers, pressure regulators, solenoid valves, thermal expansion valves and shutoff valves from Emerson Climate Technologies; and case controllers, input and output boards, multiflex boards, transformers, pressure and temperature sensors and the E2 Facility Management System from CPC.
