Copeland Scroll cryogenic refrigeration compressors have been designed specifically to operate with helium refrigerant applications such as MRI machines and semiconductor or R&D applications requiring operating temperatures as low as -450^o F (4^oK).  With  fewer moving parts, scroll compressors are inherently quieter and more reliable than reciprocating compressors, while the Copeland Scroll proprietary design has demonstrated its exceptional performance characteristics and outstanding energy efficiency in the most demanding applications. 

Two Copeland Scroll cryogenic compressor models are currently available: a 2HP and 4HP version.

Copeland Scroll cryogenic compressors maintain outstanding energy efficiency even in the most demanding applications. Because helium's heat of compression is so high, Copeland Scroll cryogenic compressors are equipped with oil injection systems to cool scroll members. Special oil management capabilities assure low oil entrapment in the discharge gas. Other unique compressor design characteristics result in lower applied cost.
