Five-Millionth R-410A Copeland Scroll^® Compressor Shipped by Emerson

Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc. has shipped its five-millionth Copeland Scroll compressor designed and optimized for use with the environmentally friendly HFC refrigerant R-410A.

“With less than two years remaining before the 2010 deadline phasing out the use of HCFC refrigerants in new U.S. equipment, Emerson Climate Technologies proudly offers the industry’s broadest lineup of R-410A products,” said Scott Barbour, president of the Air Conditioning Division. "This transition to R-410A equipment is important to us, because making R-410A optimized products available is key to helping original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and HVACR contractors comply with the coming regulations. We want to help them provide environmentally friendly solutions for their customers."

Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc. offered the first R-410A compressor in 1996, and now manufactures the most complete lineup of R-410A scroll compressors for residential and commercial air conditioning applications.
